It is an e-book focused on digital skills development for Africans who want to work remotely. The guide presents recommended platforms based on the user's skills and country of residence, following a clear progression of methods, starting with data contribution tasks, then advancing into AI evaluators.
Data Contributors are people who provide feedback and data that companies use to improve their products, while AI Evaluators review and rate AI responses to help tech companies build smarter models.
Most people who try this end up working without any direction, ignoring the skills they already have and chasing methods that everyone else is already doing. This leads them to submit their time to the wrong platforms and tasks that generate almost no return, besides, there's the possibility that they might sign up for platforms that aren't very reliable.
With Afridollar, you'll get key tips, such as how to write a good summary, the best platforms for your skill set, plus other guidelines.

NAME
The Profile section is a 2 to 3 line summary of who you are professionally, your main skills, and what type of opportunity you are looking for. Keep it specific and objective, avoid generic phrases and focus on what you actually know how to do and which type of work you are applying for.
When writing your Profile, make sure to highlight your most relevant skills for the position, any academic or educational background you may have, and a strong foundation in the specific area you are applying for, such as transcription, data annotation, or translation. Close your Profile with a direct statement of intent, for example: "Seeking opportunities in transcription and audio processing opportunities" or "Seeking opportunities in AI data annotation projects."
List your academic background starting with the most recent. Include the degree or qualification, the institution, and the year range, for example: "Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at University of Lagos (2019–2023)."
If you do not have a higher education degree, do not leave this section empty. Secondary school completion, relevant certifications from platforms such as Google or Coursera, and any experience related to the nature of the project you are applying for are all valid entries, such as participation in study groups, projects that required following structured instructions, or any collaborative academic work.
This section is where you highlight your technical abilities relevant to the position you are applying for. Organize your skills into categories and be specific, avoid vague descriptions and focus on what you can actually demonstrate.
Only include skills that are directly relevant to the type of work you are applying for. If you are applying for a transcription project, highlight typing speed, listening accuracy, and language proficiency. If you are applying for a data annotation or AI training project, highlight analytical thinking, attention to detail, and familiarity with digital tools.
A strong Skills section should include at least one of the following that applies to your profile: academic background in a relevant field, experience with digital tools such as spreadsheets or data platforms, or any measurable ability such as typing speed in words per minute.
If you are applying for an AI-related project, describe your familiarity with large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT or similar tools, including your experience interacting with them, writing prompts, evaluating responses, or using them for research and productivity tasks. Even casual daily use is worth mentioning, as it demonstrates comfort with the technology these projects are built around.
Be honest. Overstating your skills can lead to rejection after a qualification test or removal from a project mid-way, which may affect your account standing on the platform.
